RE: Copies of signed contracts

Thanks again you guys!  That's what I figured but thought I would doublecheck anyways.

Marshiel is correct in my opinion.  I would keep the original and hang on as long as possible.

Kim I keep originals in my bank company safe. Always keep originals as to authentication of signatures and agreement. I would say keep as long as you can....you never know when a prior client years down the raod may need some assist from you and what a wonderful service to say "es we can still assist you!"

Hi, was wondering how everybody is handling the paperwork.  I'm assuming that we keep the original signed contract and give the customer a copy?  And are you filing the orignal contract away in your filing cabinet and for how long should we keep these?  Would it be possible to scan in the signed contract and burn to a CD instead of keeping the paper copy, or would that not be worth anything if you had to use it for court or something like that?

Thanks in advance!
