This camera has a huge 3" high resolution LCD that is great for getting good shots, 7.2MP, and a nice 12x zoom. The site above is great by the way, chock full of information. The Panasonic you mentioned has good reviews, as well as the Canon S3 IS in the same category, an seems to have an edge on the H5 apparently in image quality. But I just love the biggest LCD I can get, it seems to make everything easier for me. The competition is fierce in the $300's range with these cameras making a buying decision difficult. I think it comes down to personal preference in handling & features since Sony, Canon, & Panasonic all have great cameras.
Hi all, I am getting ready to purchase well upgrade my camera. What I am wondering is how much zoom will be good. I am looking at one that has 12x zoom 7.2MPixel The Panasonic Lumix FZ8. Any advice will be appreciated. Thanks as always, Erik
