Liability Insurance

Hi Kristina:

I too am doing it by myself and am getting Insurance. It is also costing me $500. I am not getting bonded because I don't have employees and was told that is the way I can be bonded is to have employees and I don't need a license. Anyway, I have already practiced on my mothers house and now found out that I will need to take pictures of the toilet, blinds, etc.

This is such a great board and great to find people with the same business goals as mine and hope you do well with yours.

Sorry I kind of went off the subject. Have a great day.

Lucia

For those in Canada. I run my own show, so can't be bonded. I got a 2million dollar general liability insurance policy for $500.00. Yup and ouch! The cost of doing business. I realize many people don't bother with the insurance part, but "professional" people such as lawyers, insurance agents and financial planners won't refer you if you not insured. This information I found out as I was networking my butt off. I can't blame them. If they referred a client and I broke their $1000 Royal Doulton collection and didn't pay up...wouldn't fair well with the referer.
