RE: How many hours are you putting into the business?

Ari, that is fabulous!  You and your wife are really doing great.  I have been out of work for a year and a half now and we have reached the point where I really need to make this thing work.  Time is certainly not an issue for me, marketing dollars are. Any suggestions?  Even now, where does most of your business come from?

Thanks!

I have been averaging putting in about 15 hours per week into the business over the past couple of months between researching, doing inventories, networking & marketing.   I Hope to be spending more time in it in the near future when it really takes off!  Good responses from people so far.  I currently work  a part time job and my goal is to be doing inventories full time by the fall/early winter.  I have done 4 inventories to date and am really excited by this business as are my customers!  I just wish I had a big advertising budget to get the work out more quickly biggrin  Keep asking for those referrals!

Best of luck to everyone.

More money would be nice for all of us! I have found that getting the word out about the service and educating people about the service is the biggest hurdle. People just don't know about us.

My wife and I have been working this business for a year now. We do about 4 inventories a week and spend our off time networking and meeting with others. So in that regard it is a full time job.

My wife and I have set aside 2 hours Mon-Fri for networking and advertising our business. It can be anything from cold calls, to handing out flyers around town, to make "cold visits" to insurance agents and real estate agents to lave our brochures.

I started with about 20 hours a week, but I was misusing my time. I spent a lot of time working the web instead of working the business (website, generate traffic, etc...). Now, I have a second location and we are doing about 50%/50% network and inventories. So, this can be a full-time job, but my wife helps me at the home location and I work a full-time contract job. And our second location, my parents work rental management businesses doing video inventories or owners and renters alike.

I'm just researching this business right now, but I would say at least 3 hours per night. I'm reading every archived forum from the beginning so it is taking awhile but I'm learning alot!

I am still working fulltime and networking at least once a week. I too am only a few months in and just starting the networking. I haven't got an inventory yet - but soon I hope. I average 25 hours a week on networking, reading and researching still.

there are 2 of us and we put in at least 50 a week including inventories. we just started 3 months ago and we have been really marketing and networking. we do about 1 inventory a week and then meet people the rest!  We may even work more than that! So far it is paying off!
