Thanks for the insight. I understand it takes time. I was just wondering if people that are doing inventories ask about the association. I proudly display on everything that I am a member. Erik
Hi Erik, I would like to comment on NAHIP to ensure everyone understands the plans but certainly welcome other feedback.
NAHIP is brand new (since January) so it will take some time to gain exposure and provide steady referrals to business owners. Currently it does provide value since prospective clients will see the logo and respect that you took the time to join a professional group which has a code of conduct you follow.
Your membership will help with making that very important first impression to prospective clients, illustrating your professionalism.
As the membership grows to a respectable level, it will become much easier to gain national attention via press releases and NAHIP contacting the media. In addition, the plan is to also put out radio ads to provide additional exposure and referrals.
Basically, the membership needs to grow in order to provide the resources needed to facilitate the promotion of the organization.... we have to start somewhere and with the support of business owners I'm certain that NAHIP will be a success!
I am a big believer in professionalism. What I am wondering is, how is NAHIP membership benefiting you? The website is nice and all but what is it doing for you?! I can use a logo (which I do) but does it help? What are the benefits to membership other than using a logo? I am not trying to bash NAHIP at all. I am just wondering if it is helping? Is there more help to come? Thanks, Erik
