RE: Backdrops

Hi Ken, thank you for the reply and welcome!  I just bought some black and white felt pieces and they look really professional in my pictures.  They don't reflect the flash at all.  Now I just have to decide how often to use them.  I have the jewelry props as well, just have to get used to taking the close ups.  Still trying to decide if it's worth the money to buy the photo box with the light and tripod.  I want really nice pictures, but don't want to take up a ton of time setting things up, either.

Thanks,
Kim B.

Kim,
I do use backdrops, felt and velvet. I like the colors black and navy blue looks really nice too. I also, like white for those dark items with details. I find details on collectiables looks so much better and you can really see the items clearly.

Is anybody using backdrops or fabric underneath items for more professional looking pictures?  If you are using them, are you using them for most pics or just for fancier things, like jewelry or collections?

Thanks!
Kim B.
