Hello, NAHIP has been around for a couple of years but is still young and working towards growing its membership.
Business owners are getting referrals .... just Google 'home inventory professionals' and NAHIP comes up at the top for those searching for someone to do an inventory.
You may also find it helpful to use the member logo to promote your services. It shows people that you are a member and agree to the professional standards of NAHIP.
Sorry I think I posted my question wrong but anyways does anyone know how long NAHIP has been around. Also how do people ger referals from being a member. I can't see how anyone would know about it unless they went to the site looking for someone who does home inventories.
Just as an FYI, I have had two people contact me regarding my service via my listing through the NAHIP website so I guess it has some benefit there was well. Plus my insurance agent loved that fact that there was an association and I was a member....
The member area is where you would login to update your online profile that would appear in the directory.
Clients would then see your profile live when they search for a home inventory service provider in your area which would provide additional exposure for your business.
The member area also contains a section for special product offers to members as well as the logos in both web and high resolution for marketing materials.
The plan for NAHIP is to offer more to members as the membership base grows.
Hello, NAHIP is grass roots effort to provide visibility into this service industry by allowing members to part of the active directory. Currently there are members from the US, Canada and UK.
By joining you'll provide another way to make your business more visible and give credibility to your business since members must agree to a code of conduct. Displaying the logo on your marketing materials to potential clients will let them know you are serious about your business.
As membership grows the organization will have more power to bring group benefits for insurance etc.... but not yet at that point. In comparison to membership in other professional organizations the dues are quite low.
I still don't see what the benefit is of joining nahip besides adding the logo to my website,,,what exactly is in the member area of the website??? are there hidden benefits that i dont know of ?? to me it doesnt seem worth $144 just to add the NAHIP logo.
