RE: preventing glare from glass in pics

I guess it would really depend on the camera and lens that you are using. I have a Nikon D80 and some fast glass. I can take a hand held shot in low light without a flash with my 50mm 1.4 lens, and it lets so much light in, it looks as if the room is lit pretty well.

Another option would be to be able to bounce the flash head off of the ceiling instead of pointing it straight ahead. This would illuminate the room without giving the glass a reflection. Again, you'd have to have a flash that allowed you to pivot the head vertically towards the ceiling in order to bounce the light.

If you are using a point and shoot camera, a tripod without flash would be the best bet. You could set the exposure for a couple of seconds and you'll get a very nice image without camera shake or the need for a flash.

Hope that helps!

thnx, but typically lighting is too low inside especially at night....i need some light and the over head fixtures are already giving off glare on the glass even though it is low
