I believe Joe who ran that newsletter got into another business with his family. You can however go to this facebook page and get access to the home journal business newletter, just scroll down and you'll see a link to the newsletters: www.facebook.com/homeinventorybusiness
Della, Agree totally. It's been such a help to me, and as you said, Joe and Derek are so great on following up (and even providing "extra" information for this out-of-the-way state out here in Hawaii ).
I can't tell you how many times I've re-read each issue as I've been setting up.
Just a quick note to thank all of those that voted on the new name for The Bastion Beat. As of 11/1/08, the monthly newsletter will be known as The Inventory Standard.
Thanks for the kind words and the support! We are very excited about where our profession is heading and are confident if we all continue to work together, great things will happen!
I couldn't agree more. The Bastion Beat has been very informative for me as well. This is my third business venture. Although I've had previous experience, the help I've received through the Bastion Beat and e-mails from Joe have proven to be invaluable. Keep the good work up. I print each issue and keep it with me wherever I go. I look forward to every issue..
I recently purchased a year subscription to the Bastion Beat, our industry's first trade publication. Every month I look forward to getting my next issue. In addition to starting a business in a fairly new industry, I am also a first time business owner. Yikes! It's a little scarry when you are just starting out. I have learned to take all the advice and help I can get. The Bastion Beat has been the single most important resource for me and my business. Through the Bastion Beat I get the latest in Industry News, Business Resources, Advertising and Marketing recommendations. In the June 2008 Issue, I learned about uncovering and marketing to my target audience. The June issue was packed with valuable information about blogging, sizing up your competition, and an interview with a fellow home inventory professional. I love that the Bastion Beat not only provides great articles with invaluable information, they also give you resources such as URL's for blogging, links such as PSA's (Public Service Announcements) that you can add to your website, and software comparrisons just to name a few examples. The July 2008 issue had inventory tips and techniques. There was also information on promoting your website and bloggs, and advice on conducting workshops, siminars and public speaking engagements to promote and grow your business. Without the Bastion Beat, I would have never thought about some of this stuff! Derek Lee and Joe Imbrogno, owners of Bastion Home and Business Services, have been wonderful. Any professional can call with questions and they will help you. Mr. Lee and Mr. Imbrogno want our industry to grow and succeed. They follow up with me on a regular basis to make sure my business and I are doing ok. It is great to have that kind of support. I consider my subscription to the Bastion Beat a great low cost investment and a buliding block in the foundation of my business. I get an education every month, and knowledge is power! Thank You Bastion Beat
