I have experience with this. I have almost no memories of my childhood. But one of the only memories I have is of my mom walking around with a mini cassette recorder describing our household belongings. Later on that year when we were robbed, she handed the tape to her agent and he wrote her a check.
Has anyone really tried doing an inventory with a voice recorder? Talk into recorder saying specifics, taking photos and moving on.. Thoughts experiences??? Thanks, Erik
As I am in my "practice stage" I am working with my fiance' as a team. We started out logging the data into the software as we are doing the inventory but found it is a lot faster to use inventory sheets and write the info down at the clients home and enter in the computer at the office. We are working as a team right now but we may work solo in the future when business starts to pick up. I also would suggest that if you work as a team you should always be together in the home so the homeowner doesn't feel suspicious if one of you is off in another room.- Davin Premier Home Inventory www.callpremiernow.com
