Mike, welcome to the industry! And definitely like the name!
My suggestion to you is to spend 80% to 90% of your time networking, marketing and "talking" as you say! One hard lesson that I think we've all learned is that "if you build it, they don't come!" It takes a great deal of effort and development to get things off the ground.
The good news is that our industry is very new and poised for greatness! With a lot of hard work and a little luck, we will all do great things! There are many awesome people on the forums -- and they are always willing to help. I think I speak for all of us when I say feel free to reach out with any questions.
Hello everyone and I hope everyone is doing fine. I am new at this so please bare with me. My first question is What is your opinion of the name for my business. Its to late to change so I hope I get more posative results than negative but I would love you all to be as honest as possible.
My business name is "Colorado Asset Protection Service" I am in Colorado and everyone I talk to about my new venture thinks it is a great "niche" and I hope it is because I am going to persue it full force. I am going to take my time and plan all week long and study the website and the forum and take baby steps on the weekend. The problem I see now is that it takes money to grow but I live from payday to payday and I amthe sole provider. My next step is to get business cards and talk...talk...talk. then go on and set up a Craigs List site and then visit the many potential prospeccts (insurance companies...homeowner associations....Property Managment Companies...etc. I love looking at the forum because it gives me ideas I never thought of. Please feel free to writh me anytime I listen to everyone and believe me I don't think any statement is stupid. I am a firm believer in teamwork and I feel we are one big team out there to help everyone and I apreciate anything. Good luck to all of you and I hope we all prosper.
