Sounded really promising, than you have to pay 300USD deposit for the camera etc.
So I didn't finish the sign up.
Today I got a call, that I can do for 100USD, and pay the rest later.
The website looks so similar tothe info, you described before.
thomas business consutants,aka national home inventory aka most of the above mentioned, I was looking thru craigs list for a job and found the home inventory ad,thought I can do this and contacted the site,the company would get me all the prescreened leads ,if i would do 18 per month they would give me a designated territory,that they would let me keep half of the proceeds,$375.00,and send them $375.00,that they would also send the equipment needed to be in this business,but I had to be certified, and gave me a link to another web site,at home inventory certification academy,I then went to this site and payed $295. to be certified,I had to do a mock up home inventory and send it in ,i then received a certification by email, and i sent it to national home inventory services,the last communication i received was there confermation to me that they received imy certification Note ; I started getting suspious when the gentlman on the phone at national home inventory services had the same voice that the man at the academy had,when they did not return my call istared to google all the names and company names and the address to the academy did reverse searches of the telephone numbers and found that the director of certifcation lives about 20 miles from delray beach fL,wich is were national home inventory is.Long story short I am filling a complaint with Ic3, and am asking all that is involved with this scam to contact the ic3, they are conected to the FBI,and file a complaint there are a number of us in here maybee we can put this guy out of business or better yet in jail ,oh! also the director of certifications name is cheryl hartman

So I encountered the same thing but this is almost too good to be true. I found offer on CL.org and was ready to do it but after seeing this its too familiar. I decided to see if either Thomas Business Consultants or Premiere Home Inventory is listed in Florida Corp. sunbiz.org has Thomas Business Consultant listed as the same address as the business (not real smart). 626 Federal Highway. Within a few clicks the articles of Inc were filed by Thomas Mcintyre. If you then google that this guy has a bad wrap around Florida. So may be legit but hard to beleive. If you look at phone numbers too they are all same area code and exchange 561-860-xxxx, even from previous scams! Woul dbe interesting to see phone records. In this day with VoIP these guys can have Florida numbers but be anywhere in the world. Anyway hope this helps....

I WAS TO BE CONTRACTED TO CONDUCT HOME INVENTORY SERVICES IN THE WEST KNOXVILLE TN AREA FOR SAID BUIS. I WAS INSTRUCTED TO OVERNIGHT A CASHIER CHECK FOR $1500.00 TO COVER THE COST OF EXPENCIVE SUPPLIES NEEDED TO DO THE WORK. SUCH AS A DIGITAL CAMERA CAM CORDER AND PAPER WORK NEEDED TO COMPLETE A ASSIGNMENT.
AFTER THE COMPANY RECIEVED MY M.O. ALL COMMUNICATION STOPPED IMMEDIATLY. I HAVE NEVER HEARD FROM ANY ONE SINCE APRIL 07. IN MAY 2007 I FILED SUIT IN SMALL CLAIMS COURT. The name of the co. that is doing this is Thomas Business Consultants dba TBC Inventory. Their web sites are under either name.
I answered an ad . For $299 I could be in business, they will supply me with.......the list went on & on, plus they will send me referrals & if I did an inventory, I would pay them $150. Web site included. Well it took 7 days to get this e-mail business plan that a 3rd grader could do a better job of. Oh & they wont return my phone calls or e-mail.
