RE: To Print or Not to Print

I also don't print out the reports. In reality, the only time they will really need this document is if they have to put in an insurance claim. They can then print out the reports themselves at that time but if they didn't have to make a claim and the time comes to update their inventory all that paper from the last inventory is outdated and huge a waste. I give them two copies of CD's and that is all that needs to be disposed of when the updated inventory is done.

I do the same as JD. it cost a lot less and if they secure the CD properly it is much better for them as well.

With everyone trying to be as green as possible, has anyone given their client the option not to print their final report, just given them the CDs?  It didn't cross my mind, but someone mentioned it to me, so I thought I'd see if that had come up with anyone else.

Hi Jan,

That is an option you can offer. If the client prefers everything on CD it saves you money, paper, ink and most importantly, time.

I had several clients, both business and private that didn't want the paper print out. I put everything on the CD, including all the extra stuff I normally include in the paper product. I have charged the same price for the CD only as I do for paper and CD, but you could offer a discount.
